Grand Hotel Hungaria

The Keleti Railway Station is perhaps the busiest railway station in the capital, as almost all international trains arrive here. People are used to hurrying in a railway station, but this would be a huge mistake here, as the special, eclectic design of this building is totally worth the time to take a closer look at. You should also find the right spot to be able to explore the group of statues on the top of the 43 meter tall building.

The neighborhood of the Keleti Railway Station is also the best place to be, if you like to do some shopping or look for gastronomic adventures. These streets are full with international street food restaurants, and also within a couple minutes walking you’ll reach the Arena Mall, the biggest shopping center in Middle-Europe.

Do you feel like doing something special? Visit Kincsem Park, the magical racehorse venue! The place, named after the most famous race horse of Hungarian history, has been the home of race horsing since the XIX. century. Next to Kincsem Park the Hungexpo awaits you with its interesting exhibitions and programmes.

Near Keleti Railway Station you may also discover the Fiumei Street graveyard, the resting place of the greatest historical and cultural characters of Hungary. There are separate parcels for the heroes of the ‘56 revolution and for the famous Hungarian artists. Guided walking tours are available in the graveyard, if you are curious about its history and the life of the people who are resting here in peace, but you can choose to take a walk on your own too. And of course if you are at Keleti Railway Station looking for a walk, head towards Városliget! Hop on to the Official Ligetbusz and discover the biggest park of Pest in a convenient way!

The nearest stop to the Keleti Railway Station is on the Rákóczi street, in front of the Grand Hotel Hungaria. You can find its exact location on the map of the Hop On Hop Off buses.
