Affordable Cameras for Sightseeing

Whenever we find ourselves with upcoming trips and excursions, one of the first things on the checklist will always be checking to see that our camera equipment is primed and ready for use. In the case of a visit to Budapest, this is even more of a pressing issue of vital importance, as the stunning beauty and spectacular sights that the Hungarian capital has to offer makes any ride on the hop-on hop-off bus of Budapest simply impossible to attend without the sufficient photographic equipment with which to capture the wonderful experience. So what are some of the choicest camera options for those sightseeing moments?

Panasonic Lumix LX100 II – if you’re interested in a camera that has a prestigious Leica lens without the Leica price tag, then perhaps opt for one of the Panasonic Lumix models. This has a compact body with an excellent 24-75mm lens and 16-megapixel sensor, and is still lightweight.

Canon EOS Rebel SL2 – for those after an SLR that is easy to carry, the Canon Rebel range offer cameras that are easy to use, easy to handle, yet offer more flexibility than your average compact camera. It also has an excellent focus and APS-C sensor.

Sony RX100 VI – this is an “ultra compact” camera that takes up very little space, yet comes with a 24-200mm zoom lens, a popup flash and high frame rate shooting, making it a great all-rounder in a small and light package.

Fujifilm X-T3 – another DSLR that is full-frame and offers an advanced sensor, high bit rate 4k video and high autofocus speeds. Not the most easily portable option, but for excellent quality images sometimes it’s worth the extra weight.

Olympus TG5 – If you’re thinking of stopping off at one of the many baths of Budapest and you don’t want to leave your camera behind, maybe you should go for this underwater option. This is an affordable camera that can also handle low lighting conditions.

For such a gorgeous European capital with a great range of delights, make sure that you’re not left taking pictures on your smartphone on your whistle-stop, hop-on hop-off tour of the city that will take your breath away.
